Meet the people who both set the vision for
Southaven Community Church and help live it out.
our pastor:
Don lived in Northeast Arkansas until after his marriage to Linda and after they accepted their first church. He was the lead pastor in churches in Missouri, and Indiana before becoming the church planter to start Southaven Community Church. Beginning college in Arkansas State University, he continued in Indiana at Oakland City University and earned his Bachelors and Masters in Theology. His focuses are in Biblical studies, Accounting , and a Masters in Divinity. He loves to travel and all kinds of water sports. One of his bucket list items includes a trip down the Mississippi River on a pontoon, from the head water in Minnesota to New Orleans, Louisiana.
our Staff:
Linda was born and raised in Southeast Missouri where she lived until marrying Don in 1978. They have four daughters and 9 grandchildren. In their forty plus years of ministry they have led churches in three states until coming to Mississippi to start Southaven Community Church in 1990. Her passion for children led her to accept the position as Daycare Director. Her hobby is spending time with her family-especially the 9 grandkids, she also enjoys swimming, reading, going on cruises and traveling.
Tashah was born in South Louisiana. So you know that she bleeds LSU purple and gold. She has lived in DeSoto County now for 30 years. She is married with 4 children and 6 grandchildren. She loves traveling especially to Disney World!!! She has been in Daycare for 22 years. She loves getting to know parents and loves children like they are her own. She loves her career and where God has placed her, here at SCC.
